Euros 2024 Weekly Update 2


Hello all and happy matchday 3 of the Euros! The transfer deadline for this final set of games is ~12 hours from now, so get those 2 free transfers in! This week saw a couple of teams qualify for the knockouts, disappointing performances from some fan favorites, and the first 0-0 of the tournament! (And of the last ~50 Euros matches).

These results see Germany qualify from Group A, Spain qualify from Group B, and Portugal qualify from Group F! Groups to watch are definitely Group E, where all four teams have 3 points, and Group D, which has the Netherlands and France on 4 points with Austria just behind on 3!

In terms of our league, Zach retains his spot at the top of the table by 2 points off the back of a solid 16 points from his captain Bruno Fernandes, a 7 point match Man of the Match performance from Switzerland's Manuel Akanji, and a 10 pointer from Koen Casteels, who somehow got an assist for Belgium! Zach sits just 2 points above myself, whose 28 point Gundogan captain choice helped bridge the gap, and 9 points above MatthewR in third. Luke picked up the highest score this week with 72, enough to climb to 4th in the table. The full standings are as follows:
